Just Because Wecare recognizes the need for childrens education and nutrition all around the globe and wants to help make a difference in their lives. Children are in need of help to teach them how to become self sufficient in education and nutrition.
- Malnutrition for children under five ranges from 35-45%
- Children make up approximately 35% of the total population
- One in every 10 HIV-positive people are under 19
- There are nearly 1.7 million illiterate people nation wide
- About 75% of students complete primary education (ages 5-10)
- By age 15 the number of children still in school is cut in half
- The number of dropout students has sharply increased worldwide
Nearly 60 million have not been given resources and opportunities to obtain an adequate education
Just Because Wecare understands the need for childrens education and nutrition in children and wants to help make a difference in their lives. These less fortunate children are in need of help to become self sufficient in education and nutrition.
Deep hunger, that burn in the belly that so many here feel, has become fiercer than ever in recent days as global food prices spiral out of reach. The immense challenges facing the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere have been compounded by political instability and natural disaster.
Malnutrition remains the worlds most serious health problem and the single biggest contributor to child deaths in the developing world. The number one cause is drinking water. That is why Just Because Wecare will set up water cistern systems in the school.
